Cookie Policy
Please read carefully. Questions can be sent to legal@georgiafrp.com.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function properly and remember information about your visit.
2. Cookies We Use
We currently use only strictly necessary cookies— the kind that don’t legally require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy rules, because the site cannot function without them:
- Session cookie (login) — Keeps you signed in to your account. Duration: until logout or expiry.
- CSRF/state cookie (Discord OAuth) — Security, verifies the Discord login flow wasn’t tampered with. Duration: short-lived, deleted after use.
- Registration progress cookies — Temporarily holds your email-verification and Discord-connection status while completing registration. Duration: cleared after registration completes or expires.
We do not currently use:
- Analytics or tracking cookies
- Advertising or third-party marketing cookies
- Cross-site tracking of any kind
3. Third-Party Cookies
When you connect your Discord or Steam account, those platforms may set their own cookies during the authorization process. These are governed by Discord’s and Valve’s own cookie/privacy policies, not ours.
4. Managing Cookies
Since we only use strictly necessary cookies, disabling them will prevent you from logging in or completing registration. You can control cookies generally through your browser settings, but doing so may break core site functionality.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if our cookie usage changes — for example, if analytics or additional features requiring non-essential cookies are introduced. We will update the “Last updated” date and, if legally required, request your consent.
